May Meeting

ImageMAY COPA MEETING

The next COPA meeting will be the final one for this season.  Join the excitement on Tuesday, May 25th.

Ben Merold will be our guest and will speak to us on Making Your Church More Effective, Regardless of Its Size.  Every preacher serving Christ spent time in Bible College, preparing for the opportunities that God would make available.  Even after years of faithful service, sometimes we become frustrated that our efforts have not generated more changed lives.  Ben loves preachers and will share his experiences to encourage you for the great task of reaching lost people for Jesus Christ.  You would do well to clear your calendar in order to attend this presentation.  It is one more of those special meetings that will encourage elders, deacons and additional staff members as your church family faithfully prepares to reach your community.

Ben is presently Minister-at-Large for Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, Missouri having recently completed a 17-year ministry as their Senior Minister.  His previous ministries include a student ministry at Assumption, Illinois; a 5-year ministry at Villa Grove, Illinois; a 13-year ministry in Sullivan, Indiana; and a 22-year ministry with Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, California.

During his ministry with the Eastside Christian Church, the church had a rapid growth from an average of 185 in worship service to an average of about 3,000 in multiple worship services.

In 1991, God led Ben to "start all over again" as he accepted the call to become minister of Harvester Christian Church.  This was a very young congregation with potential for growth that averaged about 200 people upon his arrival.  Today, attendance at Harvester Christian Church now averages 3,300 to 3,400.

The morning begins with breakfast at 8 AM; the program begins at 9 AM and concludes at 10 AM.

We will be the guests of Utica Church of Christ, 115 North Central Avenue, Utica.  Alan Pratt will be our host for this meeting.  Directions can easily be found on Yahoo! Maps.  You are encouraged to carpool with other ministers to deepen fellowship during your travel.

Breakfast is only $5.  The church will use the funds to provide the food.  Your reservation will help the church prepare adequately for your arrival.  It is very important for you to make reservations.

Please take a minute now to confirm your presence for this meeting.  Simply e-mail your response to Damon This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Your presence will help fulfill the Biblical opportunity “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”  (Proverbs 27:17)
